Senior or Staff Accountant (Hybrid | Suburban Chicago Area)

Salary Range: $75K–$95K (based on experience)+ Strong Benefits & Career Growth

A prominent, global manufacturing company is seeking a Staff or Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work within a well-established organization, with a focus on growth and career development in a collaborative, dynamic environment. The company operates in a variety of industries and provides internal mobility for long-term professional development.

The role is hybrid (4 days in office, 1 remote) and reports to an Accounting Manager, with additional oversight from higher-level finance executives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for various financial areas
• Assist in financial reporting and analysis for assigned functions
• Manage and track capital expenditures and fixed asset records
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support cost-related projects
• Support internal controls, audit preparation, and adherence to company policies
• Collaborate with internal teams and assist with external audit inquiries

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA is a plus)
• Experience: 1–3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred)
• Skills: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.); familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools a plus
• Attributes: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide actionable financial insights
• Cultural Fit: A self-motivated, team-oriented individual eager to grow within the organization
