R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Field Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across our Great Lakes Midwest region
. This role provides regional oversight for 10 terminals
, 75 maintenance employees
, and 746 power units
.

• Lead, hire, coach, and manage maintenance staff across multiple locations
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment safe, compliant, and road-ready
• Manage PM performance, down units, and repair timelines to support freight operations
• Ensure shop compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Partner daily with Operations, Breakdown, Safety, and Human Resources teams

• Proven maintenance or operations leadership experience
• Strong people‑management and communication skills
• Clean driving record (required)
• CDL preferred, but not required
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
