General PurposeThe Retail Associate ensures customers receive a positive shopping experience. The Associate provides friendly, courteous customer service, collaborates with fellow associates, follows company best‑practice standards, and maintains a clean and well‑presented store.
Essential Functions- Practice safe behaviors and maintain a safe, clutter‑free sales floor.
- Show respect and courtesy to customers and associates, and represent the Company brand.
- Assist customers with merchandise, answer questions, and handle transactions politely.
- Respond promptly to customer service calls and resolve issues with the guidance of Store Leadership.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, and replenishing restrooms supplies.
- Ensure correct stocking in the sales floor and recovery of lost goods per company procedures.
- Merchandise new receipts quickly, meeting presentation guidelines.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of Loss Prevention, Shortage Highway, and merchandise protection standards.
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, credit card details, and merchandise.
- Follow all policies regarding cash, check, charge card, refunds, voids, and bankable tenders.
- Display a sense of urgency, maximize productivity, and minimize unnecessary steps.

- Effectively communicate with customers, associates and store leadership respectfully and pleasantly.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail environments.
- Use store equipment such as PDTs, registers, and PCs.
- Stand, walk, and move throughout the store up to 100% of the shift.
- Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Occasionally push, pull, or lift more than 25 pounds.
- Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
- Stockroom shift associates may need to push, pull, or lift over 20 pounds.

Compensation & BenefitsBase pay range: $15.00 – $15.50 per hour (dependent on experience, qualifications, and location). Additional compensation may include bonuses based on performance.
