PREK Co Lead

Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for a Pre‑K Teacher with a qualifying letter to join our team! This position would be with shared responsibilities in our four‑year‑old classroom.

Pay starts between $17.00 and $21.00 based on education and experience.

• Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

• After probation period we do evaluations every 60 days. If you meet all requirements for our program, you will be able to get a raise at each evaluation.

• Working together to develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for children between 4‑5 year olds
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self‑esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc.).
• Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpole's app)
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
• Qualifying letter (Before applying)
• TB test and Physical
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as a mediator between children
• Cool‑tempered, friendly, and reliable
• Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
