CEM Corporation (Matthews, NC) is seeking a highly self-motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will drive innovation and design excellence throughout the product development process. • Responsible for the physical design of instruments, including electromechanical, fluidic and optical components.
• Collaborate with electronics and software engineers to integrate their efforts within the product development team.
• Develop prototypes for testing and conduct evaluations to identify design issues or opportunities for improvements.
• Document designs including 3D Models, Drawings and Assembly Procedures.
• Identify & troubleshoot problems through entire product life cycle.
• New Product Development & New Product Introduction

• Required:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (physics, applied math, electrical engineering, chemistry). Master’s Degree a plus.
• 10+ Years as a mechanical engineer (or related) involved in the design of innovative electromechanical systems.
• Must have significant experience working in a multi-disciplinary project team, with a proven record of design innovation.
• Familiarity with 3-D CAD modeling is required;
  Creo Parametric experience is a plus.
