Position Overview

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Professional to join our dynamic team. This role offers a significant opportunity for a skilled professional to apply and further refine their expertise across a diverse portfolio of environmental, civil, geotechnical, geo-structural, and construction materials testing projects. We are deeply committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and advanced professional development.

As a Staff Professional, you will leverage your existing technical proficiency while proactively enhancing your specialized skills and advancing strategically towards your professional licensure goals. You will collaborate with and be mentored by senior professionals, contributing to complex challenges and expanding your capabilities in a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment. This position is ideal for a professional eager to deepen their technical knowledge, refine their project management acumen, and contribute meaningfully to our clients' success while continuing a robust path of professional growth.

Our Regional Geotechnical group focuses on serving projects for our solid waste, mining, and power industry clients. These projects span a multitude of geotechnical support roles, from geotechnical exploration in support of Phase 1 Development and infrastructure/support structure design to geotechnical support during site operation and closure, as well as geologic hazard mitigation (structural improvements, ground improvements, and slope stabilization).

Minimum

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field of study from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 1-5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in relevant fields
  • Possession of Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification, with a clear path towards obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) or ASBOG Professional Geologist (PG) licensure.
  • Required to travel regularly to local and regional project sites (typically within South Carolina and surrounding states) and perform extensive fieldwork under varying environmental conditions, including adverse weather, uneven terrain, and potentially hazardous environments, while adhering strictly to health and safety protocols.
