Replenishment Buyer

Job Description

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. Basic Microsoft Office proficiency is required. In this role, the associate will analyze inventory and demand data to determine when and how much product to order from vendors. They will manage approximately 150 vendors and 3,000 SKUs, ensuring appropriate inventory levels are maintained while minimizing out-of-stocks and excess inventory. The position requires regular communication with vendors, logistics partners, peers, and Category Managers to support inventory and replenishment strategies.

While the desk can be managed independently with limited day-to-day interaction from the core team, strong cross-functional communication and collaboration are essential. This is an onsite position requiring attendance in the office five days per week.

• Monitors the Replenishment of products to ensure that all assigned items are purchased to maintain adequate inventory and service levels considering expiration guidelines and inventory turn targets.
• Support an average of $450M in sales by maintaining adequate store in stock targets
• Manage $330M in inventory on average while hitting target inventory levels.
• Responsible for managing an average of 3K items and 150 vendors across active warehouses.
• Analyze warehouse on hand, warehouse on order and historical store orders to determine how much inventory to purchase daily.
• Tracks inventory turn rate to ensure proper warehouse levels are maintained for high volume and slow-moving items.
• Review invoice reconciliation cost exceptions
• Communicate with the vendor frequently about inventory strategies, out of stocks and new item launches.
• Tracks open orders to ensure inventory is received on time
• Perform root cause analysis on out-of-stock items, implement solutions & communicate to impacted stakeholders
• Collaborate with Category Management team to ensure alignment on inventory strategies
• Becomes familiar with product, learn, and understand the supply chain preferences, seasonality, baseline demands, and problems as related to the replenishment and sale of those items.
• Facilitate and coordinate the delivery of new, deleted, and cut-in items to ensure a successful reset process.
• Maintain item integrity related to substitutions, purchasing and billing status
• Communicate with Category Manager on aged inventory and help with exit plan
• Work hold, damaged, PO overages, or out of date items in the warehouse, facilitate vendor pickup or donation of products.
• Act as subject matter expert for assigned desk in cross functional collaboration projects
• Review inventory exception reporting related to store in-stocks.

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related
