Job Summary: Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

• Location:
  
  Novant Health Matthews Medical Center, 1500 Matthews Township Parkway, Matthews, NC 28105. Online applications only.
• Schedule:
  
  Full time; days may vary, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (more details upon interview).
• Fixed Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surfaces.
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
