A Day in the Shop You clock in, review travelers and prints, load raw stock, and bring metal to spec on multi-axis CNC equipment. Throughout the shift you verify dimensions, adjust offsets, monitor tool wear, and keep machines dialed in—so parts meet tight tolerances every time. You’ll wrap up by documenting results, performing light finishing, and leaving a clean, organized cell for the next run.

How You’ll Spend Your Time Run CNC programs to fabricate aerospace-grade metal parts to blueprint specifications
Interpret drawings, approved sketches, and written/ verbal instructions to achieve required dimensions and tolerances
Change, insert, secure, and recalibrate tooling as needed
Watch machine behavior to catch malfunctions, out-of-tolerance conditions, or process drift; adjust or escalate to a lead as needed
Measure using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools; document and maintain part paperwork
Perform light finishing (deburr, clean, tap/countersink via hand tools or drill press)
Control tolerance levels, track and manage tool wear, and uphold 5S and total preventive maintenance
Load and unload material and parts safely and efficiently
Use digital metrology with an emphasis on dimensional accuracy and repeatability
Pitch in with other duties as assigned
What You Bring High School Diploma/GED and 1+ year in a metal-cutting machine shop
Or a blend of higher education and experience that demonstrates capability
Comfort with shop math and GD&TAbility to read blueprints and tolerances; fluent in machine shop decimals (thousandths and tenths)
Proven skill with micrometers, calipers, and related gauges—delivering consistent, reliable measurements
Strong learning mindset and adherence to established processes and procedures
Stand-Out Qualifications Associate degree (machine tool technology or industrial manufacturing preferred) or two years of equivalent higher education
Experience in an AS9100 environment
Background with multi-axis machining; DMG Mori, Grob, and/or Okuma strongly preferred
Comfort holding tight tolerances (2–5 tenths)
Schedule & Shift Premiums1st
Shift: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM2nd
Shift: Mon–Fri, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (+$1/hour premium)3rd
Shift: Mon–Fri, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (+$2/hour premium). We don’t work Sundays, so on Sunday night you’ll come in at 12:00 AM.Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
