CEM Corporation (Matthews, NC) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Technician to join our Service Depot team in Matthews, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for performing as-needed repairs and calibrations on microwave-based products. Tasks range from general maintenance to complete unit rebuilding, working on both customer-owned and in-house systems.
Responsibilities And Duties- Perform thorough visual inspections and operational checks on incoming units
- Diagnose issues using fault isolation and troubleshooting techniques
- Execute necessary repairs on defective units
- Install software updates or hardware retrofits as required
- Calibrate systems and conduct final functional testing prior to return
- Accurately document all repair activities, including time, parts used, and resolution
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Technical background in electronics or electromechanical systems
- Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documentation and schematics
- Competence using basic hand tools
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to lift up to 50 Ibs
