Industrial Painter
Location:
Matthews, NC Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $20.00–$22.00/hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday– Friday, 6: 00 AM– 4: 30 PM
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Industrial Painter to join the steel department of a growing manufacturing operation in Matthews, NC. The Industrial Painter will be responsible for applying protective, rust-resistant coatings to fabricated steel products while maintaining high-quality standards, following safety procedures, and keeping painting equipment and work areas clean and properly maintained.
Essential Job Functions- Apply protective coatings to beams, columns, and other steel products in paint booths
- Operate and maintain paint guns, sprayers, and related equipment
- Replace paint gun tips, filters, and other components as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of paint booths, steel lines, shot blaster, and surrounding work areas
- Monitor paint and coating supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered
- Assist with loading, strapping steel, and other production activities as needed
- Ensure painted products meet established quality standards and are properly coated
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and respirators
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning pumps, changing booth wallpaper, and replacing filters
- Keep conveyor systems and equipment free of paint buildup
- Previous industrial painting or related experience
- Apprenticeship or on-the-job painting experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Competitive pay of $20.00–$22.00/hour
- Full-time, Monday– Friday schedule
- Consistent daytime hours
