The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their support system. They collaborate with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans that promote health or support a peaceful death. The nurse utilizes scientific evidence and compassion to help patients navigate their health journey.

They are responsible, authorized, and accountable for managing and providing care according to current policies and procedures.

• Foster teamwork, engagement, and community involvement.
• Support diversity and inclusion to ensure quality care.
• Maintain a safe patient environment guided by "First Do No Harm" principles.

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Minimum of one to two years nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN, BMT) within 30 months of employment with signed education agreement.
• Additional skills include awareness of legal issues, excellent communication, clinical assessment skills, and knowledge of cancer treatments.

• Oncology certification and port access skills are preferred.
• Floating to Ballantyne clinic may be required.
