Advance your nursing career by providing expert care in a high-acuity pediatric environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced RN-NICU professionals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care for critically ill neonates and children.
Schedule/Hours:
- 26-week contract
- Schedule cycle repeats every 6 weeks
- May be eligible for a 48-hour/week guarantee
- Active RN license with BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of high-acuity Pediatric ICU experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Strong skills in critical care procedures: ventilator/trach management, invasive lines (ART/CVP), vasoactive drips, and advanced monitoring devices (Artic Sun, EVDs, Camino)
- Familiarity with Alaris & Medfusion pumps, Belmont Rapid Infuser, Omnicell, Phillips monitors, and other outlined specialty equipment
- Competency to float to Pediatric CVICU, NICU, PCU, and general Peds units as needed
- Open to first-time travelers eager to expand their experience
- Deliver expert, compassionate nursing care to a diverse pediatric patient population (including trauma, respiratory, neurosurgical, renal, transplants, orthopedic, and hematologic diagnoses)
- Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity (ranging from 1:1 to 2:1)
- Collaborate within a robust care team (including 24/7 support from CNAs, unit secretaries, phlebotomy, IV/VAT teams, RT, intensivists, residents, and APPs)
- Ensure the highest standards of aseptic technique, medication and infusion management, bedside procedures, and discharge teaching
- Adapt to floating assignments within pediatric critical care units as patient needs demand
