RN Med Surg | Matthews, North Carolina

This role offers an opportunity to utilize Med‑Surg and Telemetry nursing skills within a dynamic acute care setting focused on adult and geriatric patient populations. The position is based in Matthews, NC, a vibrant community just south of Charlotte, known for its charming downtown, quality schools, and family‑friendly atmosphere.

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as COPD exacerbation, CHF exacerbation, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, and stroke.
• Manage and interpret cardiac rhythms, perform trach care, chest tube management, and PIV starts.
• Administer medications including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IV fluids.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data with accountability for timely assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including resource nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and support staff to ensure exceptional patient care.
• Float within the designated regional facilities as needed, supporting patient care across multiple units.

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of experience in Med‑Surg/Telemetry nursing.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Competency in managing complex patient care including trach care, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, NGT and drain management.
• Ability to work flexible hours across day and night shifts with weekend rotation every other week.

• Schedule:
  
  12‑hour shifts (7:00 AM‑7:00 PM or 7:00 PM‑7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation:
  Every other weekend
• Holiday coverage:
  Approximately 75% of holidays worked
• No on‑call responsibilities
