We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented US Sales Representative to drive direct sales of the company’s Elemental, Process, and Organic Product lines throughout Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. This customer-facing role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and achieving annual sales objectives through strategic territory management and exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude with strong consultative selling skills and is passionate about building long-term partnerships within the chemical, environmental, food, agricultural, industrial, academic, and commercial laboratory markets.
US Sales Representative responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan to achieve or exceed annual sales objectives
Sell and rent CEM instrumentation, accessories, consumables, and related solutions throughout the assigned territory
Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities while expanding relations with existing customers
Follow up promptly on customer inquiries and convert qualified opportunities into sales
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across industrial, academic, academic, commercial laboratories, food, environmental, chemical, and process industries
Maintain accurate customer records, activities, opportunities, and sales forecasts within the company’s CRM system
Prepare and submit monthly activity reports summarizing sales performance, territory activities, market opportunities, competitive intelligence, and forecasting
Develop quarterly territory business plans and review progress with Regional Sales Management Coordinate equipment demonstrations, installations, customer training, and initial system startup activities
Provide ongoing post-sale customer support by assisting with application questions and coordinating technical resources as needed
Partner with Product Management, Service, Applications, and Customer Order Processing teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
Coordinate customer service requirements, equipment returns (RMAs), shipping issues, and installation scheduling with internal departments
Maintain assigned demonstration equipment in excellent operating condition and ensure proper inventory tracking
Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for customer visits, demonstrations, seminars, and company personnel traveling within the territory
Identify cross-selling opportunities across CEM product lines and collaborate with fellow sales representatives on opportunities outside the assigned territory
Represent CEM professionally at customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows and technical seminars
Maintain regular communication with customers through onsite visits, virtual meetings, email and telephone to strengthen long-term relationships
Follow company pricing, quotation, discount, and sales authorization policies
Perform additional duties that support territory growth and organizational objectives
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or a related scientific field2-5 years of laboratory, technical sales, or scientific instrumentation experience preferred
Ability to travel to 60%, with customer-facing travel typically Tuesday through Thursday and approximately 6 overnight stays per month
Demonstrated success developing customer relationships and achieving sales goals
Experience with CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar platforms
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and customer-focused mindset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard business software applications
Valid driver’s license
