Job Summary:
The Repair Technician plays a hands‑on role in supporting mitigation and repair work, ensuring high-quality workmanship and efficient cycle times. This position performs light demolition, assists with setup and monitoring of drying and repair equipment, and completes a wide range of small repairs including carpentry, drywall, painting, and general finish work. The technician also supports mitigation services for water, fire, mold, and other property damage events, responding with urgency and professionalism—especially during after‑hours emergency calls.
Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain relevant industry certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT, or equivalent) and maintain required continuing education. The role requires learning and effectively using industry standard software
The ideal Repair Technician is dependable, detail‑oriented, and able to work collaboratively with crews, subcontractors, and customers to ensure projects meet company standards.
This position has no current supervisory responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Handles light demolition, setup/monitoring of drying and repair equipment with strong focus on cycle times
- Performs a variety of small repairs including carpentry, drywall, painting, and general finish work
- Ability to work after‑hours in response to emergency calls.
- Assists with mitigation services for water, fire, mold, and other property damage projects
- Learns and effectively uses industry standard software
- Maintains a consistent presence on projects, ensuring accountability and follow‑through from start to finish
- Provides professional, customer‑facing interaction with homeowners to ensure positive experience and clear communication
- Participates in on‑call rotation and is available for after‑hours emergency calls to support urgent homeowner needs
- Holds or is willing to obtain relevant certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT, or equivalent)
- Requires 14 hours of CE per 4‑year period
- Relates well to crews and customers, dependable team player
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Self‑starter with ability to quickly learn construction processes and techniques
- Ability to work in both field and office settings
- Proficient with Microsoft Office technology (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Clean driving record, with no accidents or major infractions within the last 3 years.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent experience.
- One year of construction experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of restoration operations preferred.
- Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Must be able to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time.
