About the RoleThey are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join their team as an Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations Analyst. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the senior management team, access financial data, and be a key contributor to the success of warehouse operations. - Control Inventory Movement: Manage inventory across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring efficient movement and allocation. Evaluate sales trends, slow-moving inventory, and upcoming inbound arrivals to optimize stock levels and meet demand.
- Monitor Inbound Shipments: Oversee inbound shipments, ensuring compliance with existing company procedures and standards. Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods.
- Cycle Count Program: Develop and maintain a cycle count program to ensure inventory accuracy. Make necessary adjustments to inventory records as required to maintain data integrity.
- Quality Assurance (QA) Guidance: Provide guidance and support on quality assurance issues across all departments, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve quality-related concerns.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) across all warehouse functions. Generate weekly reports highlighting areas of improvement and opportunities for increased efficiency.
- Expense Reporting and Cost Savings: Regularly report on department expenses and recommend cost‑saving measures. Analyze labor costs, temporary labor expenses, overtime costs, packaging materials, and identify areas for cost optimization.
- Collaborative Solutions: Work closely with department managers to identify areas for improvement and develop sustainable solutions. Foster a collaborative and proactive approach to drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
- Procedures and Training: Develop standardized procedures for current tasks and create a comprehensive training manual. Oversee recruitment, hiring, and development of a trainer to onboard and train new hires across all functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control, logistics, or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications, including warehouse management systems and data analysis tools.
- Business acumen and the ability to understand and interpret financial data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Proven leadership abilities and a desire to grow into higher‑level management roles.
- Results‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
