Construction Superintendent
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and applicable building codes. This role manages day-to-day field operations, coordinates subcontractors and vendors, and serves as the primary on-site leader across multiple projects.
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities from project start through completion
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and building codes
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety policies and procedures
- Monitor project schedules and adjust workflows as needed to meet deadlines
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and proper use of materials and equipment
- Identify project risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to maintain project alignment
- Ability to identify project risks early on and communicate up to leadership
- Lead job site meetings and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders
- Track project progress, maintain documentation, and prepare reports on budgets, timelines, and performance
- Manage material deliveries, inventory, and site logistics
- Travel to multiple job sites as required. May be required to cross-train and perform other duties.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations (OSHA), and building codes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between job sites. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions. Prolonged standing, walking, climbing, and lifting as required on job sites. May require extended hours, including evenings or weekends, based on project needs.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 annualized. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
