• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients within a modern, 32‑bed Emergency Department.
• Manage a highly comfortable patient pace averaging fewer than two encounters per hour.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a second on‑duty physician, maintaining double‑physician coverage at all times.
• Efficiently stabilise and coordinate transfers for high‑acuity trauma and major cardiac cases ("no heads, no hearts") to tertiary care partners.
• Work a predictable rotation of 15 shifts per month utilizing three structured 10‑hour blocks (6:00 AM–4:00 PM, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM, or 4:00 PM–2:00 AM).
• Coordinate patient care with on‑site specialties, including the hospital’s dedicated inpatient psychiatric department.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all patient encounters.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Emergency Medicine (or a relevant specialty with extensive ED experience).
• Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain).
• Valid DEA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team‑oriented mindset optimized for a co‑coverage model.
• $75,000 sign‑on bonus structured over 3 years.
• $100,000 retention bonus structured over 5 years.
• Low‑burnout schedule requiring only 1,776 annual hours (with non‑clinical time built directly into the rotation).
