TITLE:
Homebound Tutor (7th Grade Student)

Rate: $27/hr.

- 5 hours/week

• Valid and appropriate Illinois licensure - Professional Educator License.
• Successful completion of fingerprint based criminal background check (IL State Police and FBI), sex offender and violent youth offender screening, and employment physical.

Under limited supervision, provides high-quality, standards-based instruction in a homebound setting for a student qualifying for services.

• Addresses specific educational needs of an individual student by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment and providing feedback to parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
• In collaboration with the student's teacher(s), selects appropriate instructional materials and media to achieve the goals and objectives specified for the student.
• In collaboration with the student's teacher(s), strives to maximize the educational achievement of the student.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media which are appropriate to the achievement of the student.
• In collaboration with the student's teacher(s), assesses on an ongoing basis student progress toward the acquisition of goals and objectives.
• Maintains accurate and complete records as required by district policy and administrative regulations.
• Utilizes current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiates instruction based upon student learning styles.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by the principal/assistant principal and district office administrators as designated by the superintendent.
• Adheres to a professional code of ethics which includes confidentiality of school related matters and loyalty to the school district.
