- Location: Any of the schools we partner with in the Elgin U‑46 School District (Elgin, South Elgin, Bartlett, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Wayne, Hoffman Estates, Carol Stream).
- Pay Rate: $15‑18/hour (based on education and experience).
- Program
Hours:
Mon‑Fri: 1:45 PM‑6:00 PM. - Work Availability: All five days; shifts must be full (no partial shifts).
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Required: At least 18 years of age;
High School Diploma or GED; at least six months of experience working with children 5‑13 years in a formal group childcare setting (preferred).
- Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and foster team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily
Activities:
prepare activities and curriculum that align with the program’s objectives, ensuring they are both educational and enjoyable. - Leading by Example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment, modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
- Prioritize Safety and Joy: monitor the environment, address hazards, and follow all safety protocols; document attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
- Ability to meet state‑specific requirements.
- First Aid and CPR – in‑person.
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- Proof of High School diploma/GED.
