Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with School Psychologist Endorsement
- Master's Degree required. Successful completion of school Psychologist Internship.

- Strong computer and program application skills (Mac Environment, Google Apps) and operating knowledge of typical office equipment; e.g. telephone, copier, fax machine, e-mail, etc.
- Demonstrated skills in collecting student data by conducting observations, screening, and evaluation to document current levels of performance
- Experience in evaluation processes to determine the extent of student progress, continued eligibility, and special education needs (including functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, etc.)
- Ability to lead and facilitate problem solving and intervention teams to assist in early intervention for learning and behavior problems
- Knowledgeable in effective academic, social and behavioral interventions and strategies to support student success

Passionate about closing the achievement gap and ensuring that every child, regardless of background or circumstance, receives an excellent education. - Proficient in completing required documentation and data collection necessary for IEP reports and paperwork; lead domains, eligibility, and IEP meetings
- Ability to provide behavior consultation to staff and parents
- An interest in working with people and a desire to develop positive relationships with colleagues, students, families, community members, and the administrative team.
- Work collaboratively with the school social worker to counsel students individually or in groups to enhance social/emotional growth and facilitate peer relationships
- Actively contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment.
- Treats others with respect, works with integrity and ethics, and demonstrates teamwork skills
- Skilled in development and implementation of professional development activities as needed
- A demonstrable interest in continuous improvement in the work environment, strong initiative, clear ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and perform multiple concurrent tasks and is driven by a desire to produce quantifiable student achievement gains.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Responsible, honest, tactful, able to maintain confidentiality, and be of good character.
Salary: According to Collective Bargaining Agreement with Gower Education Association
