The School Psychologist supports early childhood and elementary students by promoting academic achievement, social-emotional development, and overall well-being through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators, families, and support staff. This role plays a vital part in creating inclusive, supportive learning environments that help students succeed.

Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations and assessments to support special education eligibility, instructional planning, and intervention development.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs and behavioral intervention plans.
- Provide direct and indirect services including counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute data-driven recommendations to improve student outcomes and school-wide practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in the state of Illinois.
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited program.
- Experience conducting psycho educational assessments and interpreting evaluation data in a school-based setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education law, eligibility criteria, and best practices for early childhood and elementary populations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, communicate clearly with families, and manage multiple responsibilities in a school environment.
