Momentum Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and growth-oriented Accountant/Controller to join our team in Skokie, Illinois. This in-person role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our Leadership, directly influencing our financial operations and contributing to our strategic growth.
Responsibilities- Accounts Payable Management: Oversee and manage all accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Business Accounting: Handle day-to-day business accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial record keeping.
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. (note: not to be confused with anything HR related this is just pushing through the financials for payroll)
- Accounts Receivable Coordination: Collaborate effectively with our third-party accounts receivable company to ensure financial records are accurate and ensure they are regularly improving collection efforts.
- Operational & Financial Coordination: Work hand-in-hand with the Vice President and President to align accounting practices with operational goals, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
- Invoicing Oversight: Ensure proper and accurate invoicing for all services provided.
- Budgeting: Create and implement comprehensive budgets for on-site staff, providing guidance and support for financial planning.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with on-site staff to establish and implement efficient approval processes for financial transactions.
- Project Underwriting Assistance: Assist with the financial underwriting of new projects, providing data and analysis to support investment decisions.
- Proven experience in accounting or a similar financial role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, payroll processing, and general accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in similar role within the long term care industry is required
