At First Mid, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e. bonus, incentives, and/or commission). Assist with completion of loan credit analyses for new and existing commercial loan relationships.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Perform credit analyses and financial statement reviews on commercial credit relationships.

* Learn the commercial loan approval process by assisting with completion credit memos for various approval committees.

* Monitor credit requests for adherence to written lending policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.

* Complete required training associated with job function.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/

Experience:

* Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and/or commensurate banking experience.

* Must have obtained junior or senior status by Summer of 2019 (Candidate for graduation in 2020 or 2021). Spring 2019 graduates will also be considered.

* Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above is strongly desired.

* Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software, specifically Excel, Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Office.

Skills:

* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

* Possess the willingness and patience to embrace complex, detailed financial analysis projects while meeting deadlines.

* Strong oral and written communication skills.

* High level of confidence and integrity in order to maintain independent judgment and privacy of customer and Bank information.
