The Card Solutions Manager is responsible for managing the bank's debit card and ATM operations, including planning, organizing, controlling and directing card services activities. They develop, implement and maintain operational workflows within the department, ensuring tasks are completed timely and accurately. The Manager provides specialized expertise covering all aspects of Card Solutions and is responsible for ensuring that the company's employees and customers are supported and assisted with issues in a consistent and timely manner.
Responsibilities- Manage all areas of Card Solutions including daily activities concerning customer support, fraud, system reliability and reconciliation.
- Monitor schedules, assign tasks, review job performance, and make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, promotion or termination of staff.
- Identify and suggest necessary changes, additions, or deletions to policies and procedures to improve efficiency while maintaining the integrity of data and processes. Develop and maintain a policy and procedures manual for Card Solutions.
- Develop a roadmap for Card and ATM product changes and prepare the Card Solutions budget. Research ATM/Card trends and initiate new products, services and partnerships.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors for card-processing, ATM service and ATM restoration.
- Collaborate with Treasury Solutions, Bank System Solutions and Branch Solutions managers to ensure back‑ups and personnel are cross‑trained where necessary and maintain excellent customer service.
- Plan new ATM deployments and necessary upgrades.
- Oversee the ATM balancing process and troubleshoot issues.
- Manage regulatory compliance for ATMs and Debit Cards, including monitoring federal and state regulations and implementing new policies and procedures.
- Serve as a member of the Bank’s Compliance Committee.
- Perform internal departmental audits, identify and resolve issues, and maintain ongoing compliance.
- Act as liaison to Audit personnel and OCC personnel for Debit Card/ATM compliance.
- Monitor transaction trends for fraudulent activity and conduct fraud research to limit exposure.
- Work closely with the marketing department to promote Card products and other bank products via the ATM.
- Provide top‑level problem resolution and technical expertise in problem solving and application development.
- Assist Operations and IS Manager with various duties to ensure successful operations of the department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on business, finance, computer science or related field preferred
- 5+ years banking experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Jack Henry and Microsoft Office application.
- Good organizational, communication and management skills.
- Solid understanding of financial institution policies and procedures.
- High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers in a professional manner.
- Ability to effectively manage and supervise personnel.
