We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and supporting hybrid Microsoft Active Directory environments, administering Office 365, and managing enterprise security and network infrastructure including Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switches, and Meraki access points.

This role is responsible for the provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will also contribute to technical research and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure systems align with organizational standards, security requirements, and business objectives.

This position is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain a hybrid Microsoft Active Directory environment
  • Administer Office 365 and enterprise identity, access, and security controls
  • Maintain and support Palo Alto firewalls, Meraki access points, switches, and other network devices
  • Manage security and access controls for ERP, WMS, and other enterprise applications
  • Perform EDI troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and system issues
  • Implement, manage, and test data backup solutions and disaster recovery plans
  • Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery testing
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software
  • Create and maintain documentation for network topology, system configurations, and procedures
  • Provide first- and second-level helpdesk support and resolve technical issues
  • Provide escalation support to the helpdesk team and coordinate with external vendors as needed
  • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and Unix servers, including web servers, domain controllers, DNS, mail, and other systems
  • Install system upgrades, patches, and new software releases; resolve software-related issues
  • Monitor system performance, security, disk usage, and resource utilization; provide recommendations for improvements
  • Maintain inventory and licensing records for software, servers, workstations, and laptops
  • Conduct hardware and software evaluations and implement solutions aligned with IT objectives
  • Collaborate with team members to automate administrative tasks and streamline processes
  • Manage assigned projects independently, delivering results on schedule
  • Perform IT security responsibilities, including:
  • Patch management and endpoint security
  • Access control enforcement and Active Directory security policies
  • Maintaining secure network configurations and approved external access
  • Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation as required
  • Travel between office and warehouse locations as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
  • Experience supporting IT environments in warehouse or distribution settings preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Experience with Crowd Strike, Rapid7, or similar security platforms preferred
  • Security certification preferred (CompTIA Security+, or equivalent)
  • Strong expertise in hybrid Microsoft Active Directory design and migrations
  • Advanced Power Shell scripting experience
  • Experience with Meraki access points and switches preferred
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls preferred
  • Office 365 administration experience required
  • Experience with Intune for workstation patching, imaging, and application deployment required
  • SQL Server setup and security experience required
  • Experience managing ERP, WMS, and other enterprise systems access and administration
  • Experience with Hyper-V required
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS preferred
  • Familiarity with NIST, CIS, or other security frameworks
  • Strong understanding of network security protocols and tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
