Life Sciences Patent Agent

Overview

Our client, an AM100 law firm, is seeking a Life Sciences Patent Agent to join their New York office. This position offers the opportunity to work in a nationally recognized life sciences group that specializes in high-profile Hatch-Waxman matters and supports numerous pharmaceutical companies.

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in the life sciences sector.
• Assist with patent counseling, portfolio analysis, and opinion work.
• Support post-grant proceedings and litigation.
• Collaborate with attorneys on strategic IP matters for a diverse range of clients.

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
• Registration with the USPTO.
• At least 3 years of patent prosecution experience, particularly in pharmaceuticals, biosimilars, natural products, or ag-bio.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
