Retail Customer Service Delivery Driver

Job Description

This position works closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. In addition, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores in a safe and timely manner using company vans or pickup trucks.

Store #3181, 1012 Broadway, Mattoon, IL 61938.

Part‑time position; starting pay rate $17.50.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone to determine needs and present appropriate products and services.
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs.
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
• Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, safety procedures, etc., when driving a vehicle.
• Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries.
• Operate equipment and machines such as cars, trucks, and forklifts.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
• Prior work experience selling paint and paint‑related products.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
