Steven Douglas has been retained to identify a Vice President & General Manager to lead a growing commercial roofing and architectural sheet-metal platform in the Greater Chicagoland area.
Our client is a highly respected contractor serving industrial, institutional, and commercial markets with capabilities spanning new construction, re-roofing, custom sheet-metal fabrication, standing-seam roofing, metal wall systems, waterproofing, green roofing, and service/maintenance. Following a recent strategic partnership with a large national roofing organization, the company is entering an exciting phase of growth and expansion across the Midwest and East Coast.
The RoleReporting directly to the CEO and Board, the VP & GM will have full P&L ownership and executive responsibility across:
- Operations, fabrication, and field execution
- Finance, systems, and process optimization
- Project engineering, planning, and people leadership
This leader will drive operational excellence, scale the business across multiple markets, and build a high-performance culture focused on safety, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction.
Ideal Background- Senior leadership experience in commercial construction, roofing, sheet metal, or building envelope services
- Proven success leading a $50M+ business or division
- Strong operational and growth leadership capabilities
- Experience in multi-site or post-acquisition environments preferred
