Director, MRO Operations

Loar Group (NYSE: LOAR) is seeking an experienced, results-driven MRO operations leader for one of its operating units located in the midwestern US. Loar group specializes in acquiring and growing companies that provide products and/or repair services for the global aerospace & defense market. To date, Loar has acquired 19 niche aerospace & defense businesses across the US and Europe.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic, collaborative leader highly experienced in driving operations to meet short and long term organizational goals and motivated by the opportunity to join a growing business in a dynamic MRO environment. Under the direction of the General Manager, (s) he will be instrumental in driving the growth and direction of the business. (S) he will define and implement all operational and quality goals to meet the growth and profitability objectives set by the General Manager and/or Loar.

MRO operations experience in Aviation, Aerospace, Defense is highly preferred. This position is fulltime onsite in the Greater Chicago area.

• Champion and communicate the vision and mission for the business that empowers employees to meet and exceed expectations for customers and company leadership.
• Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 and all applicable regulatory certifications as well as foster a culture that prioritizes safe, reliable operations with the ability to balance these priorities with efficient customer service and satisfaction.
• Develop and implement business strategies with annual goals and objectives to meet financial, customer, process, and organizational targets.
• Scrutinize operational results, trends, and key performance indicators (KPI’s) to ensure organizational performance meets/exceeds all targets set by the General Manager and/or Loar and to enable the growth of the business.
• Drive profitability, growth, and efficiency through the safe, efficient, and quality service of existing customers and enable acquisition of new customers.
• Other duties as assigned at the discretion of the General Manager.

• Minimum of 15 years of operations experience preferably in aviation, aerospace, and/or defense. Experience in a high growth MRO business is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field required. MBA is preferred.
• Demonstrated history of driving continuous improvement and building long term operational strategies that foster business growth in a fast paced environment.
