Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of the General Ledger as well as monthly P&L statements
- Manage A/R, A/P, and Payroll (using Paychex). Manage a team of 10+ accounting staff.
- Oversee production of KPIs
- Revenue and expense varianceanalysis
- Familiarity with the Sage accounting system
- Oversee and generate multiple commission calculations across the firm
- Generate and maintain P&L’s for additional business units and department level P&L’s
- Serve as the firm’s financial representative on a board that oversees three Mutual Funds and three ETFs
- Oversee an office manager as a direct report. This includes phone systems, supplies, reception and mail.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required,and a CPA is preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive and upwardly mobile accounting roles.
- Managing an accounting team of five or more people in previous organizations
- Experience in asset management or finance a plus, but not required
- Hands-on, action-oriented work style
- Experience automating manual accounting processes
