We are conducting a confidential search for a hands-on Plant Manager for our client to help lead and strengthen manufacturing operations at a well-established, growing residential and commercial products manufacturer in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

This role is ideal for a plant leader who prefers the production floor to the office, working closely with supervisors and operators to improve consistency, resolve real-time issues, and build strong, repeatable processes.

This position is part of a long-term succession plan, with a clear path into broader operational leadership.

• Lead daily plant operations with a focus on production consistency and quality control
• Streamline manufacturing and assembly processes to improve efficiency and throughput
• Troubleshoot recurring production, equipment, and workflow issues
• Develop and maintain high standards of assembly and manufacturing execution
• Lead recurring training and workforce development initiatives
• Communicate daily production updates and operational changes to leadership
• Support rollout of new systems, equipment, and operational improvements

• Hands-on plant leader who spends significant time on the production floor
• Strong people skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
• Experience in manufacturing, production, and/or engineering operations
• Background in residential and/or commercial products manufacturing preferred
• Practical, solutions-oriented mindset
