The Material Handler I supports manufacturing and packaging operations by safely handling and disposing of wood crates, maintaining accurate KB inventory, operating forklifts to deliver parts and assemblies during crating, and verifying issued materials against work orders. This role is essential to maintaining efficient, safe, and organized production workflows.
✅ Forklift certification preferred (or ability to pass certification test)
✅ Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
✅ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
✅ Clear communication and teamwork abilities
✅ Understanding of material handling and warehouse safety procedures
- Manufacturing / warehouse environment
- Regular business hours with some variation based on operations
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Bend, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods
- Reach above head and below knee level

- Safely open and break down incoming wood crates
- Manage full-cycle wood recycling and disposal
- Coordinate trailer loading and maintain a clean crate disposal area
- Inspect and verify KB inventory accuracy
- Create part demand requests as needed
- Issue materials to production teams
- Operate forklifts to deliver parts and assemblies during crating
- Support packaging and assembly teams with material movement
- Verify and count issued parts
- Ensure quantities and part numbers match work orders
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support operations
