As a Med Surg RN, you’ll assess patient status, implement care plans, administer medications, monitor vital signs, manage IV therapies, perform routine procedures, and participate in rapid responses when needed. You’ll coordinate discharges, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary teams to optimize throughput and safety. The role supports your professional growth through structured orientation, ongoing clinical education, and access to specialty mentorship, with clear pathways to leadership roles and quality‑improvement initiatives within the Med Surg discipline.
