Overview
The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
Qualifications- Certified Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days as required by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Associate’s Degree in nursing (or related field)
- Relevant work experience in ambulatory or outpatient settings
- Provides and facilitates competent health care for patients and families within area of practice.
- Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
- Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
- Acts as preceptor and supports development of other staff and healthcare students.
- Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve quality of care or clinical outcomes.
- Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in development of departmental standing orders.
- Registry work for PCMH follow‑up nurse visits, phone triage, transitional care management.
The compensation range for this position is $33.11 per hour - $53.88 per hour. This range represents a good‑faith minimum and maximum for the role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, and shifts worked.
