The purpose of the Cashier is to play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth transactional experiences for our valued customers. You will be the frontline representative of our brand, responsible for greeting and interacting with customers, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming store environment.

Your duties will include:

• Exceeding customer expectations by delivering outstanding service through clear communication and active listening.
• Greeting customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor as they enter the store.
• Following the cashier script to assist customers through the transaction process and educating them on company programs.
• Executing cash management, return, layaway, and exchange policies with precision.
• Communicating professionally with all Rural King associates and customers.
• Providing product information and answering basic customer inquiries.
• Coordinating with loaders and responding to customer requests for assistance.
• Efficiently executing precise transactions while prioritizing timely service.
• Standing in designated area in front of the registers to indicate availability to assist customers.
• Emphasizing the value of joining the Rural King loyalty program.
• Introducing the benefits of the Rural King Visa card to customers.
• Responding to incoming calls at the registers with professional phone etiquette.
• Ensuring the reconciliation of registers and filing of paperwork with accuracy.
• Maintaining heightened awareness of surroundings to prevent loss and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Executing cashier responsibilities thoroughly, including stocking coolers, cleaning front windows, and managing registers.
• Refilling popcorn and coffee stations in a timely manner.
• Keeping shopping carts and restrooms clean and well-maintained.
• Using general office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, and computer.
• Participating in cross-training for flexibility in various departments and responsibilities.
• Actively participating in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars.
• Providing friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support.
• Demonstrating behaviors that exemplify Rural King's values.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $15.25 - $18.60 per hour, with exact compensation determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
