Sales Representative, Retail Sales, Sales Associate/Assistant
Sales Representatives are responsible for building strong relationships with new and existing customers, as well as internal team members for the purpose of selling equipment and other company services. Individuals in this role should be customer service oriented, demonstrate attention to detail, possess strong communication skills, and continuously develop themselves to understand industry trends and company products. Sales Representatives exhibit a high level of customer service, positive attitude, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities are representative of the work to be performed and may not be all inclusive.
- Nurture current customer relationships while expanding the customer base for the purpose of identifying customer needs and selling products, services, and equipment
- Assure all documents associated with the sale of whole goods are properly documented and submitted
- Stay abreast of industry trends, current and new company products, and available sales tools
- Review changes to manufacturer terms, discounts, special sales/programs, deliveries, and arrival of new equipment daily
- Submit all work orders related to the sale of new equipment or whole goods to the service department and coordinate completion expectations in partnership with the service department
- Coordinate and participate in equipment/field demonstrations
- Ensure equipment for delivery or demonstration is in proper working order and is ready for delivery/demonstration
- Coordinate pick‑up/delivery of new equipment to customers, including walk‑throughs of equipment
- Ensure every customer is satisfied with the products, services, and support of staff at the dealership
- Resolve customer concerns efficiently and effectively
- Perform other duties as assigned and cooperate with all other departments of the dealership
- Ability to drive to customer’s location for sales calls, equipment delivery/set‑up, and after‑sales support
- Ability to set work priorities and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to frequently lift or move 10 to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary
- Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms
- May be required sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
