Maintenance, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Position: Maintenance I
Perform maintenance and construction work on the college physical facilities.

Essential Job Functions:

* Operation of Power Plant and associated equipment.

* Record keeping on water treatment chillers generators and power plant equipment.

* Perform all types of repairs on mechanical electrical pneumatic and HVAC equipment.

* Required to keep facilities in operation and good repair.

* Assist in determining needs and submit purchase requests for parts and equipment.

* Assist in planning and carrying out of maintenance preventive maintenance and construction programs.

* Other related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized maintenance training.

Experience Requirements:

* Three years in maintenance. Must be able to obtain a class D license.

Knowledge:

* Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry trades and state and local building code requirements through experience and/or specialized training. Knowledge of Energy Management computer and HVAC controls.

Skills:

* Ability to perform electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry work.

Personal Requirements:

* Ability to get along with others.
