Position: Maintenance I

Perform maintenance and construction work on the college physical facilities.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Operation of Power Plant and associated equipment.
  • Record keeping on water treatment chillers generators and power plant equipment.
  • Perform all types of repairs on mechanical electrical pneumatic and HVAC equipment.
  • Required to keep facilities in operation and good repair.
  • Assist in determining needs and submit purchase requests for parts and equipment.
  • Assist in planning and carrying out of maintenance preventive maintenance and construction programs.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
    • Education Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized maintenance training.
    Experience Requirements:
    • Three years in maintenance. Must be able to obtain a class D license.
    Knowledge:
    • Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry trades and state and local building code requirements through experience and/or specialized training. Knowledge of Energy Management computer and HVAC controls.
    Skills:
    • Ability to perform electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry work.
    Personal Requirements:
    • Ability to get along with others.
