Job Scope
The Inventory Materials Coordinator is responsible for receiving, storing, staging, and transporting project and maintenance materials throughout the plant. This role ensures material accuracy, organization, and timely delivery to support ongoing projects and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and experienced working in industrial warehouse and plant environments.
Primary Responsibilities- Receive project and maintenance materials, verifying shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
- Properly store, stage, and organize materials in warehouses and designated laydown areas.
- Coordinate and perform plant transport of materials to support project and maintenance work.
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials to required locations throughout the plant.
- Maintain clear material identification, labeling, and organization standards.
- Support inventory tracking and documentation as required.
- Follow all plant safety procedures, material handling guidelines, and housekeeping standards.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance, project, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability.
- Previous experience in materials handling, warehouse, or inventory coordination in an industrial or plant environment.
- Experience receiving materials and performing quantity and accuracy verification.
- Forklift operation experience required (certification preferred).
- Ability to work in warehouse, laydown yard, and active plant environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required.
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry in excess of 25 lbs.
