Metro Connects (Metro) is a special-purpose district, governed by a seven-member commission that operates and maintains 1,500 miles of sanitary sewer mains and 26 sewer pump stations within Greenville County, South Carolina. Metro is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the available full-time Electrician Foreman.

This position ensures that crew members complete tasks correctly and in a timely manner. This position reports to the Pump Station Manager.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and inspections of the pump stations.
• Receives directions and assignments from the pumpstation Manager and performs assigned tasks as directed.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment within enclosures, control panels, switch gear and MCC’s as required.
• Install/replace electrical enclosures, control panels, switch gear, MCC’s and other electrical equipment as required.
• Performs scheduled quarterly inspections on air release valves.
• Utilizes the asset management system to include but not limited to, creating, and completing work orders, child work orders, tasks, and inspections.
• Takes “On-Call” and responds to emergency calls as necessary.
• Conducts job site safety, and safety inspections, per company policy and procedures and all local, state and federal regulations.
• Maintains and cleans all wet wells as scheduled.
• Performs grounds maintenance around all pump stations as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• Basic knowledge of pump stations.
• Must possess a current MASC Journeyman Electrician Certification.
• Possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Compensation

Salary is negotiable based on experience. Metro Connects offers a competitive benefits package including South Carolina Retirement and comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance. No relocation assistance is provided. A background check and drug screening are a condition of employment. Metro Connects also conducts random drug screening during employment.
