Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax laws.
  • Document Management: Organize and maintain client records, work papers, and tax files to support work processes and facilitate audits or reviews.
  • Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries in a professional manner, requesting additional documentation as needed and providing status updates.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all filings comply with applicable laws and deadlines, and alert senior staff to any compliance issues or discrepancies.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Candidates nearing graduation may be considered in some cases.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Progress toward CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or other relevant certification is considered an asset, though not always mandatory for entry-level roles.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with tax preparation software such as Ultra Tax or similar is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex information clearly and professionally to both colleagues and clients.
