About the RoleWe’re hiring a Purchasing Intern to support our Purchasing team with essential procurement functions that keep our operations running smoothly. You’ll gain a real understanding of how purchasing decisions impact cost, efficiency, and daily operations across the company.
This part‑time, summer internship is approximately 30 hours per week
, giving you flexibility while building valuable business experience.
- Assist with creating and processing purchase orders
- Track and monitor order statuses to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues or discrepancies
- Participate in supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms
- Help analyze cost structures and identify cost‑saving opportunities
- Support data entry, filing, and document organization
- Perform additional administrative tasks to support the Purchasing team
- Maintain regular in‑person attendance
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Ability to occasionally lift office materials (10–20 pounds)
- Ability to work in a typical office environment
- Currently enrolled in a degree program such as Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving ability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Positive attitude, dependability, and a willingness to learn
- Hands‑on experience in purchasing, supplier management, and business operations
