Full Time | Evening and Night Shifts
Pay rate at $17/hour

As a Youth Residential Worker
, you'll provide direct care, guidance, and support to children and adolescents with emotional and/or behavioral needs in a residential setting. You'll serve as a mentor, role model, and stabilizing presence-helping youth build the skills they need to succeed.
What will I do as a Youth Residential Worker with Genacross?
- Provide day-to-day supervision and support to youth in a residential setting, ensuring a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
- Assist with daily routines including hygiene, meals, household tasks, and recreational activities, while modeling positive behavior.
- Implement behavioral programming, teach coping strategies, and use trauma-informed care to support youth with emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Intervene in crises using verbal de-escalation and approved physical intervention techniques when necessary.
- Support the development of independent living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation through structured activities, coaching, and individualized support.
- Facilitate creative, educational, and recreational programming to promote personal growth.
- Maintain accurate documentation of youth behaviors, progress, and daily activities.
Youth Residential Worker Requirements:
- High School Diploma required;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - Must be at least 21 years old.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated compassion and patience in working with youth.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Preferred:
First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
