Job DescriptionPOSITION AVAILABLE: (5) Para educator for the 2026/2027 school year.

Minimum Qualifications- Minimum age of 18 years with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Possess or obtain an Ohio Educational Aide Permit before commencing employment
- Must meet at least one of the following:
- Have taken and passed the Para-Pro Assessment Test
- Completed at least 2 years of study at an institution of higher education
- Obtained an Associate’s (or higher) Degree
- Previous experience working with children is desirable
- Ability to perform reading and writing tasks with students
- Ability to manage students with difficult behavior concerns
- Technology experience and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Basic clerical skills including alphabetizing, filing, record keeping, and typing
- Ability to work cooperatively with students, adults, and the public
- Function independently when needed
- Perform essential job duties with or without accommodations
- Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community
- Maintain a tolerant and pleasant personality in demanding situations
- Follow and document procedures for students’ support in school health plans
- Lifting up to 50 pounds and positioning a student using adapted seating or mechanical lift equipment
- Provide diapering, mobility, positioning, and feeding as needed
