We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Controls Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical control systems. This role involves close collaboration with mechanical and software teams to deliver reliable, innovative solutions that meet industry standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for engineering excellence.
Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical control systems using schematic capture tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Solid Works, or Micro Station in compliance with NEC and other applicable standards.
- Create detailed system designs incorporating FPGA, SoC, microcontrollers (ARM, Arduino), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot system failures using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and vision inspection systems.
- Develop firmware and software using C++, Python, MATLAB, Perl, scripting languages, System Verilog, Simulink, and related tools for automation and signal processing.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Design and support PCB layout and electronic assemblies, adhering to surface mount technology (SMT) practices.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, including soldering methods, SMT assembly, and quality assurance processes.
- Manage multiple tasks and schedules effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering with a focus on system design, debugging, and integration of complex electronic systems.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA development, PCB layout, schematic design, and firmware programming.
- Knowledge of signal processing, vision inspection systems, and industrial automation hardware (PLCs).
- Strong understanding of mechanical concepts related to electrical system integration and SMT.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Micro Station for schematics and layouts.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct efficient root cause analysis using electronic diagnostic tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
