Structural Engineer

As a Structural Engineer with JDI, you will play a key role in collaborating with various internal engineering teams and department managers, ensuring cohesive integration of structural designs and delivering high-quality project outcomes.

• Perform structural analysis of various building systems to ensure safety and compliance
• Coordinate structural design details with JDI’s architectural and other internal engineering disciplines
• Visit job sites to gather field data for retrofit projects, ensuring accuracy and feasibility
• Work directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded
• Produce CAD drawings of approved designs for bid and permitting processes

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with Revit
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate complex ideas
• Knowledge of load calculation and stress analysis, building codes and regulations, and structural mechanics
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or a similar engineering curriculum with a structural emphasis is required
• Professional Registration (P.E.) is preferred
• Salary Range:
  Up to $135,000/year depending on education, experience, and any certifications directly related to the position
