- Own the basic process design of unit operations and the deliverables that drive projects forward
- Develop the documented design basis, process descriptions, BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, and material selection diagrams that define each project.
- Build process simulation models in Aspen HYSYS and develop heat and material balances.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and produce equipment sizing data sheets for compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, columns, separators, reactors, and more.
- Design and size safety relief devices that protect personnel, equipment, and the process.
- Interface directly with clients and provide field support throughout project execution
- Deliver work that meets quality standards and applicable codes — on schedule and within budgeted hours
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas or chemical industries
- Hands‑on experience designing process equipment (vessels, pumps, exchangers, fired heaters, compressors)
- Process simulation experience with Aspen HYSYS and hydraulic analysis tools (e.g., AFT Fathom/Arrow, Visual Flare)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to work in teams and present a positive image to clients
