About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Engineer – CPE Hose & Fitting Engineering to join our Current Product Engineering (CPE) team supporting the Data Center Business Unit – Fluid Conveyance
. This position is responsible for the engineering support of released hose, fitting, adapter, manifold, tubing, and hose assembly products throughout their lifecycle.
You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management, Test Labs, and customers to resolve technical issues, drive continuous product improvements, support qualification and certification activities, and ensure product reliability, manufacturability, and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, leading cross-functional initiatives, and supporting products from manufacturing through customer application.
Key Responsibilities- Lead current product engineering activities for released hose, fitting, adapter, manifold, tubing, and hose assembly products.
- Investigate manufacturing, supplier, product quality, and customer issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Support product qualification, certification, pressure testing, leak testing, crimp validation, cleanliness, and reliability testing.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, test plans, reports, engineering change requests, and technical documentation.
- Drive engineering changes, cost reduction initiatives, manufacturability improvements, supplier changes, and production transfers.
- Analyze field performance, manufacturing data, customer feedback, and test results to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales, suppliers, and customers.
- Participate in design reviews and transfer lessons learned into future product development efforts.
- Maintain engineering documentation, traceability records, qualification evidence, and certification documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians while promoting engineering best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes, documentation, testing, and product quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in one or more of the following:
- Product Development
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Product Support
- Quality Engineering
- Experience supporting mechanical products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, engineering documentation, and change management.
- Experience leading technical investigations and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and global teams.
